Tom,
That's a different John Hatfield, mine was born in 1830 in Ohio and died
in 1875 and is supposed to be buried in the Old Palestine Cemetery, but I
wonder if they are related in some way. John's parents were Samuel and
Arian Hatfield who where both born in Maryland. I never knew there were
so many Hatfield's in Indiana.

Lincolnshire
England, m Mariah Winters Feb 2, 1842 Marion Co., OH d Dec 14 1862
buried in
the Old Palestine Cemetery. On the back of the file card there are 8
children listed. One of them is a Celene b Sept 26, 1852 Palestine, IN
This child may be the same one listed below (Hatfield, Clene, dau. of J.
&
M, died 2 Dec. 1852, 0y, 2m, 8d).
Mariah Winters is a sister of my ggrandfather.
