In the 1910 census for Ind, Kosciusko county, Harrison township, Dist 69, the fanily was
headed by Chris Fleck, 33, a butcher, married 10 years, born in Ind as were both parents,
and included his wife Alice M, 29, keeping house, married 10 years, mother of 3 all still
living, born in Ind as were both parents, his son Russell, 9, Ind, his son Edward, 7, Ind,
his daughter Bessie, 1, and a boarder Chas Dillingham, 26, single, a butcher, born in Ind
as were both parents. In the 1920 census for the same township, Dist 84, the family was
headed by Christopher Flick (as spelled), 43, manager of a butcher shop, Ind and included
his wife Mae, 38, Ind, his son Russell, 18, Ind, his son Edward, 16, Ind, his daughter
Bessie, 11, Ind, and his mother-in-law Martha Weachter, 48, a widow, Ind. Something is
wrong, as Martha would have only been about 10 when May was born? In the 1930 census for
Kosciusko county, Mentone township, Dist 7, the family was headed by Chris F Fleck, 53,

married at 24, proprietor of a meat market, born in Ind, father in Pa, and mother in
Ohio, and included his wife Alice Mae, 48, first married at 19, born in Ind as were both
parents, his son Russell, 28, widowed, first married at 20, a clerk in a meat market, Ind,
his son Edward, 24, single, also a clerk in a meat market, Ind and his granddaughter Loah
H, 7, Ind. Don
