Hi Dan,
I'm interested in information about Dennis R. Thralls, who worked as a
photographer
in Warsaw in 1857. Here is what little I know about him so far:
Northern Indianian:
24 Dec. 1858: Den. Thralls has purchased the Ambrotype Rooms of Mr. Cathcart
and is now taking pictures equal to the best.
Ad: Ambrotypes, Melainotypes, Photographs, D. R. Thralls having just purchased
the Ambrotype Gallery of Mr. Cathcart is prepared to take pictures for all
those
desiring them at very low figures. Call at the old stand, 3d story Thralls'
New Brick, D. R. Thralls, artist.
Was "Thralls New Brick" building owned by George R. Thralls? Was Dennis a son
of George? Dennis married Frances A. Eddy on May 7, 1857 (Kosciusko County
marriage
record).
Also, in case you haven't seen it, I'm sending along a query about George
Thralls
from the Kosciusko Co. Gen Web page:
Query on Kosciusko Co. Genealogy Web Page: Kathleen Rizer rizerk(a)erinet.com
Mon Feb 10 17:45:35 1997
Seeking data on George R. Thralls, and wife Hetty Ann Pottenger. In 1880 Hetty
was apparently
living in Florida. George R. (Rizer?) Thralls was born in Ohio, probably
Preble
or Montgomery Co,
the son of Richard Thralls. George R. Thralls was in Koscuisko Co. by 1844.
How are these
Thralls related to the Rizer family of Maryland, and Ohio?
Thanks for any information you can provide.
