Subject: [INKNOX] LIVINGSTONE - CLINE Family Photograph
I've "rescued" an old photograph of Miss Florence LIVINGSTONE of Centre
Junction, Jones Co., Iowa which was taken at the Miller Studio in Anamosa, IA. The
photograph appears to have been taken in the 1890's or early 1900's with Miss
LIVINGSTONE likely in her teens at the time it was taken. Based on limited research I was
able to gather the following information regarding Florence and her family:
Florence Louise LIVINGSTONE b. 1 Apr 1888 in Center Junction, IA to parents Robert
LIVINGSTONE (b. 20 Nov 1846 in Crief, Scotland) and Celia Ann CLINE (b. 31 Jan 1852 in
Vincennes, IN). Florence married Benjamin Harrison GREENE on 2 Sept 1913 in Center
Junction, IA and died 4 Mar 1960 in Salt Lake City, UT.
Census records provide the following:
1900 census of Scotch Grove Township, IA:
Robt LIVINGSTONE, age 52, born Nov 1847, a widower, born Scotland, parents born Scotland,
to USA 1856, a Farmer Lillian LIVINGSTONE, dau, age 23, born Jun 1876, born IA, parents
born Scotland/IN Nellie LIVINGSTONE, dau, age 19, born Oct 1880, born IA, parents born
Scotland/IN Charles LIVINGSTONE, son, age 17, born Sept 1882, born IA, parents born
Scotland/IN Minnie LIVINGSTONE, dau, age 13, born Jun 1886, born IA, parents born
Scotland/IN, at School Florence LIVINGSTONE, dau, age 12, born Apr 1888, born IA, parents
born Scotland/IN, at School
+ 1 Farm Laborer
1910 census of Monticello, IA:
Florence L. LIVINGSTONE, age 22, born IA, parents born Scotland/IA, a Lawyer's
Stenographer
I am hoping to locate someone from Florence's family so that this wonderful old
treasure can be returned to the care of her family. If you are a member of this family,
or you know someone who might be, please contact me.
Thanks,
Shelley
