Here is mine. Zalmon Ludington passed away at an early age in NY. His brother
DeLafayette Ludington b/1783 adopted the children and moved to Indiana. They came down
the Ohio to Shawneestown and then up the Wabash to Vincennes according to documents.
DeLafayette was a Methodist minister. The children that came with them are:
Harvey Samuel Ludington b/1793
Horace Ludington b/1795
Zalmon Ludington Jr. b/1797
Elizabeth Loraine Ludington b/1799
Hiram Ludington b/1803
Henry Simpkins Ludington b/1805
John Norman Ludington b/1809
The family moved to the Knox County area in 1816. Supposedly Harvey carried an exhorters
license and started the first Sunday school meeting between Vincennes and Danville,
Illinois. Any information on this family will be greatly appreciated.
