If they were Roman Catholic write to the Archdiocese of Indianapolis

Subject: [INKNOX] Information on Ophelia Carrie family and Joseph Gaiter
Family
Hello:
This is my first attempt to ask for any information on Ophelia Carrie and
Joseph Gaiter her husband. They are my great grand parents. If anyone
has any information to share including pictures, I would be grateful. Her
daughter Mary Josephine was my grandmother. I know Ophelia died when my
grandmother was 9 years old. My grandmother was sent to a convent to work
for the sisters until she was 16 years of age. I would appreciate knowing
the convent she worked at for 7 seven years. Her brother Joseph was also
sent to a Boys Home somewhere in the Vincennes, Indiana area. If you have
any information on this Boys Home I would be truly grateful.
Mary Jo Vincent (grand daughter of Mary Josephine Gaiter (Blachly).
Merry Christmas. Grandmother was born on Christmas Day, 1900. She will
be 107 years old.
