The 1903 Historical Atlas of Knox County, Ind. states that there were eight
pastoral charges at that time: Bicknell, Bruceville, Decker,
Freelandsville, Monroe City, Vincennes First, Vincennes Park St., and
Wheatland. There is a District Superintendent's office of the United
Methodist Church in Vincennes. Sorry, but I don't know the address or
phone number. If they do not have the records, they should know where they
are. Many Methodist records are at DePauw University in Greencastle.

Subject: Need location of Methodist-Episcopal Church records
Could someone please tell me where to write for copies of records of the
Methodist-Episcopal Church in Vincennes during the 1890s? The pastor of
the
church at that time was the Reverend E. R. Vest.
Is that church the same one as the "First", "Central", or
"North" Methodist
Church?
Thanks for any help.
Linda Johnson
