Hi all - new member, long time (more than I care to admit) researcher.
I personally am descended from Peter Fox (b. 1847, son of Jacob and Maria Huffman) and
Elizabeth Kirsch (b. 1851, daughter of John M. and Elizabeth Huber).
I've had a number of fairly fortunate breakthroughs in the last year, and am currently
fascinated to no end about the families of the Moselle region of France that collectively
emigrated and settled in the St James/Joseph Parish of Spencer Township, and all of the
marriage between the families both before and after, including my Kirsches as well as
Oliger, Megel, Maschino, Krackenberger, Jung/Young, and others. The city of Walschbronn in
particular seems to be almost a "feeder city" (by way of Hamilton County, Ohio),
if you will, during the mid nineteenth century.
Have tons of information to share and would love to hear from anyone descended from and/or
researching these families.
Thanks all!
- Joe
