Thank you so much for all the info. I have been sitting at the computer all
day now, trying to get it all sorted. If you come upon anything else, I
would be very happy as well. Elizabeth was my gg grandmother. Her son,
John Dennis Gardner, his son Samuel Bruner Gardner, his dtr Ina Pearl
Gardner was my grandmother. I have been able to find out quite a bit re:
the Gardners in Jennings Cty & Clermont, Cty, OH, but kept drawing a blank
on the Leming/Liming/Lemming/. Of course the spelling issue does not help
one bit. I have a letter from my g grandfather, Samuel Bruner Gardner, to
his cousin, Jesse Roseberry, where he refers to "Uncle John, Hiram and Sam
Liming". Would they be Elizabeth's brothers or perhaps her uncles? I found
homestead plots in Jennings Cty for Hiram, John C, James, Sarah, Anna S.
Could Anna have been Elizabeth's mother? Could John C have been her father?
Seems like each bit of info just creates more questions.
Which is the predominate spelling? Liming/Leming?

There are also the following Lemings that are likely related to
Elizabeth
Day Leming Gardner but I suspect are not sisters to her. They show a
pattern of intermarriage between the Roseberrys, Richeys and
Lemings/Limings/Lymings
Somehow related if not sisters:
Asenath Leming Warner
Emily Leming Roseberry
Catherine Leming Richey born 14 Feb. 1809 (son married margaret, daughter
of Emily Leming Roseberry) George W. Richey., who lived next door to
Elizabeth Leming Gardner in 1870. Catherine moved with one of her
daughters Frances Sarah Richey who married John Schlief, to Rice Co
Forest Twp Minnesota.
I suspect we are looking at a rather large family which is fun and causes
headaches : ) Elizabeth Leming's direct line likely started in NJ, then
to PA then to Ohio and then to Indiana.
