Forgive me if this is a redundant response. I am having e-mail problems.
I believe that the mother to your Elizabeth can be found on the next page from Elizabeth
in the 1870 census in Jennings County. She is listed there as "Anna Lemmiung"
(approx). She is living with her daughter Permilia Chambers and Permelia's husband.
A will by a Sarah A. Phillips gives her sisters as:
Permelia Chambers, 1822 married David Chambers, son of Nancy Roseberry and John Chambers
Elizabeth Gardner, Mar 3, 1824
Martha Earhart, 1831 married Joseph L. W. Earhart
Priscilla Sayers 1832 (married Robert Sayers/Sawyers)
Notes for Sarah Wells:

remaining money in the National Bank of Madison, Jefferson County, being $1,300 . . . to
step daughter (by marriage) Eliza Jane Walton, $100 . . . my sister Priscilla Sayrs,

daughter Eliza Jane Walton all personal affects, now at the residence of our Wm. McCartney

Mr. Thos. Martins in Jeffers!
on County. . . If I die before I leave Carthage . . if Lord spares me and I return to
Indiana my husband is to collect $80 . . . Oct. 7, 1885 [signed] Sarah A. Phillips [her
mark].
Witnesses:
Warren Woodward
Darius Thomas
of Carthage, Mo.
The poster for the will thought this was a Sarah A. Wells but it would seem more likely
it is a sarah a. leming .
