Ben,
Births weren't recorded in Jennings Co. until around 1900. If you can
find her on the 1900 census it will give her month and year of birth. Her
father may have been in the civil war. If her mother outlived her father,
there may be a pension record which the mother would list an exact birth
date for her children. Pension records are $75.00. You should find her
parents names in th 1860 census. Good Luck!
I found this family in the 1860 census In Logan, Pike Co., IN, not sure
if this is yours.
I also found a William H. Carr who served in Co. F 44th IN Infantry with
a wife Margaret in the Civil war pesnison records. These may not be
yours, they are people with the same name, but I hope it helps.
