I have been going through lots of old copies of information and have
never been able to find where my great grandmother Eliza Ann (nee'
Keith) Waughtel is buried. I have her certificate of death, she died
at the Hospital for Insane in Indianapolis of phthisis, and I have
several pages of information from the hospital itself, and although it
indicates she was "buried on grounds" they won't admit to her being
there. Her widower, my great grandfather John Waughtel lies in an
unknown or unmarked grave himself - although his second wife Kate is
buried and I have a picture of her gravesite and marker. She died
after John. What I am really looking for at this time is a possible
obit for Eliza Ann. She died January 25, 1889 and John & the children
resided in Jennings County. Eliza Ann, herself, was from Decatur
County, and even I have checked Decatur County, to no avail. Would
there be an obit there in Jennings County for her? The Waughtel
family was an old Jennings County family and it seems there would have
(should have) been a death notice of some kind for her. Any help that
anyone can give me will be gratefully appreciated.
Thank you.
