Just in case you haven't seen it, I was looking through the 1840 Census,
and William (T or possibly J) Stott is listed on Jennings County, Indiana .
Series M704, Roll 84, Page 246. I hope that helps.
I was looking for Blause Specht. Also listed as Blosson, Blase, Blausius
Blausey. Last name also found under the following spellings: SPADE,
SPEIGHT, SPAETH, SPECK.

I have just put up some information on the Jennings County Web site about
a Stott family who lived just over the Jennings County line in Decatur
County. I was wondering if anyone has what if any connection there is
between
the families of Louis Lunsford Stott (1780-1856) and the family of
William
Taylor Stott. I have a Allen Stott in my own tree who married a Jane
McGannon. I keep seeing the Stott name in old records and documents in
Jennings &
Jefferson Counties and now Decatur? They all seem to have to come from
Kentucky and been leaders in their communities. What is the connection?
