These books by Gregory Boyd are wonderful, but limited to the original land
grants that were issued in the 1800's. He took the info from the GLO and
created maps w/ the pioneer's name, date of purchase. It is great to see
the neighboring owners as well. There are also maps of townships,
cemeteries, roads, railroads creeks etc. All the names are indexed several
different ways. I have a couple for counties in MO & I love them. I
ordered mine directly from the publisher, Aphax.

Subject: [INJENNIN] Family Maps of Jennings County, IN
The book titled "SCIPIO, INDIANA Threads From the Past" by
Margaret Read
MacDonald has a plat of survey of Geneva township on the inside cover with
names of land owners. I don't know the year that it is from. Pages
101-108
gives the names of early land owners with the section and township noted.
If you don't have copy of the book for this area...it is very interesting.
It has an index for name of persons as well as a separate index for place
names.
My family were among the early landowners, Eve Fifer & Daniel James
famlies. They were in Jennings County, IN from 1832 to 1845, when they
moved via
ox cart to Clark County, MO.
I hope this info is helpful.
