Jim,
You spoke of Nathan & Polly Pool. Nathan married Mary Hooker 27 April 1822
in Clark Co., IN. I'm not sure who her parents were but I do know that when
Odom Hooker died intestate in 1842 in Jennings Co., he owned a cow and calf
that was in Ripley Co., IN and Nathan Pool drove the cow to Jennings county
for the estate sale. Odom and his wife Rhoda had a daughter that would have
been the age of Mary.
Also, Odom lived in Clark county, IN in 1824, he and his brother Abner and
Nathan Pool were taken to court because of an affray. He was cleared of the
charge. However, Abner and Nathan Pool were convicted.

Sheila,
Fantastic!
Isaac and Reuben are sons of Joseph and Hannah. A daughter, Emilia (Milley)
was married to Miles Bundy.
The presence of Ephraim Pool is extremely interesting. If this is the
Ephraim Pool from Randolph County, NC, who married Phebe Bundy, it MAY imply
that Ephraim and Joseph were brothers!
Likewise for Nathan! There is a Nathan and Polly Pool in the same area, who
were from North Carolina.

getting closer.
In Probate Order Book 5
Page 461 is the appointment of Jeremiah Bundy as noted by Maurice
Holmes.
Pages 472 -275 there is an appraisal of the personal property of Joseph
Pool - the appraisal was done by Silas Huckelberry and Hiram Prather and
is dated April 20, 1849. It lists all his personal property and the
notes
due the Estate by Isaac Pool, Reuben Pool, Miles Bundy, Wm Sanford,
Sam
Glascow, Ephraim Pool, Charles Day, Nathan Pool, and Wm Neal.
In the same book pages 552 - 554 are the results of the sale of his
personal property which took place on May 8, 1849. There is a list of all
buyers
at the sale, these buyers lists can have some significance as often
family
members are among the buyers.
I will try to get over there tomorrow before I go to the Library to work
and get digital photos of all these pages. I checked this today after
work
and did not have my camera with me.

While checking for Joseph, I noticed some Guardianship records concerning
William Pool deceased with his wife Elizabeth Jane asking to become
guardian of the minor children George W., Malinda, Benjamin, James B.,
Mary C. and
Francis M. - this was dated Nov. 13, 1865
Then a guardianship of the heirs of Mary Ellen and Newton Pool the
children's names were Henry W. B., Sarah Jane & Eda May those applying for
guardianship were Sarah Heath & George W. Pool and it was dated
June 13,
1879 It
appears they died quite close together.
will take pictures of these documents also.
