Mike,
Just realized that I never answered your question. I'm checking on Mary
Jane Cave d. 15 April 1876 in Paris, Indiana.
Off topic, I seem to recall an e-mail message a few weeks ago about
naturalization for Ignatius Schenck.
The reason I'm bringing this up, is that both of my Wife's parents were
immigrants, and naturalized. My problem is that I have no understanding of
the process, and still have to learn how to research them. It would
probably be very helpful to learn of the information they gave when coming
into this country, because my wife has very few memories of her
grandparents, her parents are dead now, and I need to bridge that gap
somehow.
Anyway, I thought maybe you could teach an old man a new trick here, if you
have time.
Thanks
Emerson

What dates are you searching? St. Mary's would be the choice if
transportation was available. Sometimes, if nearer to Madison, Seymour,
Columbus, Greensburg, they went there for services.
Your name threw me for a moment. I've seen some of my ancestor's names
spelled Schenck. My ancestor Ignatius Schrenk was Naturalized under that
name.
