There are Fettig's and "Olinger's" in Seymour. Don't recoginze
Oliger. There
was a Fettig who was postmaster of Seymour about 20 years ago and I remember
my father speaking of an Olinger he worked with/or played with when he was
younger. If it helps, there were no horse-theives or mass murders among the
bunch.

Subject: OLIGER (OLINGER) Family
Dear Mike:
I am also researching this surname.
My husband's gggrandmother was Rachel (Regina)
Oliger Kirsch Megel. She was born 1831 France,
died 08-27-1921. I believe her parents were Balsar
b.1805 d.before 1870 and Margaret Wurtz b.1808.
Her siblings were Adam b.1835 OH. m. Mary ?,
Barbary b.1837 m.09-30-1855 Jennings Co., Joseph
Fettig, Balser b.1843 OH m. Barbara ?, Mary b.1845
OH. m.Bernard (Benj) Werning.
Does any of this sound familiar? I have a copy of the
Ancestors & Decendents of John J. Oliger 1844-1916
Greensburg, IND. by Mrs. Betty Vandenbosch
I don't see your family names in this book, however.
Thank you, Anmarie in Phoenix
