Ezra: Mrs. M.F. Milhous and Mrs. Louie Stanley called on Mattie Milhous of Hyde and Mrs.
Bland of this place Friday evening. Clarence Roberts and Enoch Miles called on Iesy
Roberts Sunday afternoon. Lake Millspaugh and Mr. Dame of Grand County were calling on
friends Wednesday afternoon. Chris Higgins has gone to Indianapolis.
Who was J. O. Clarkson's parents??
Dupont: Mrs. J.O. Clarkson and daughter of Champion spent Sunday with Mrs. Sarah Shepherd.
Mabel Lindsay of North Vernon and Nellie Cline of Gum Grove were callers on your scribe
Saturday evening. Miss Belle Torbet and niece, Mary Kersey, of Thorntown and Mrs. Wilson
and son, Thomas, of North Vernon visited relatives here recently. Glen Meadows, Fred
Lockwood, Mr. Brower, Roy Baker, Ralph Hengstler, John Hengstler, Earl Smith and Will
Dixon of Vernon attended the ball game here Sunday.

Changed Hands: Miles & Weaver have sold their stock of groceries to W.S. Shepherd, who
is a well known business man having previously been in the feed business. Tuesday evening
the remains of Allen, the 6-year-old son of Everett Brown and wife, were brought here from
Obion, Tenn., for burial. The parents were formerly of this place, Mrs. Brown being a
daughter of H.B. Weaver, the grocer.
Ezra: Alpha Vancleave and Louie Stanley called on Lillian West Thursday afternoon. Cora
and Winnie Decker called on their cousins, the Misses Ralstin, of Benville one day
recently. Icey Roberts and Enoch Miles have been helping F. Willey set out tomato plants.
