I have a marriage record between Inez C. Waughtel (daughter of Charles & Belle Clapp
Waughtel) and Herbert Wilson June 5, 1907 indicating each had previously been married. To
the best of my knowledge they had a son Charles and at this time I know of no other
children born of this union.
I have been going through papers that I have here and in 2002 I was in Jennings County and
surrounding areas. I photocopied a page from records of Rest Haven Cemetery from the
Bartholomew County library. There is indicated being buried there ~ James B. Morris and
Inez M. Morris. James B. Morris' wife is shown as Inez Gividen. Inez M. Morris is
shown as daughter of Charles & Belle Clapp Waughtel. Now I do know that Inez
(daughter of Charles & Belle) had a sister Mucie who married an Ottis R. Gividen.
Did Herbert Wilson pass on, leaving Inez a widow, and she in turn married a Gividen prior
to possibly marrying this James B. Morris? I am trying to untangle a mystery. Any help
anyone can give me will be gratefully appreciated.
Thank you so much for any help anyone might be able to give me on this.
