Is this list still being handled by Denise Schafer in Jennings County? I
have done typing for her in the past for Jennings County and have a couple
items to send to her but they were revamping the page last I heard ~
Denise, if you read this I do have Old Settlers ready to go and the
Prominent Citizens also ~ if I haven't sent it to you yet. I will be gone
August 3rd during the remaining month of August but e-mail me when/if you
can and snail mail anything you want typed. I will be in Indianapolis &
Columbus and hopefully make it to Jennings (Vernon/North Vernon) about the
12th/13th of August on my way to a family reunion in Delaware. If I make it
there will definitely look you up.

Subject: [INJENNIN] Transcribing materials for web site
I am personally jumping up and down with an arm up. I would be happy
to
do some typing. On another site this past week about 20 folks have
volunteered to do 15 to 20 pages from a book. Someone coordinates the
photo
coping of the pages and sends them snail mail to someone to type.
Then
that
person emails the typed pages to the coordinator.
I cannot help with books or local research as I'm in Northern California.
I
don't have to computer knowledge to compensate different
programs, but I
do
have the time, computer, and can type. If enough folks can help a
little
bit, then it will not be a big job.
A big thank you to those who have stepped up to say lets get the web site
going again with new life. Personally, I want to say it is a good site!
And
has been very helpful in the past. I would like to add my donation
for
all
the past help I have received.
Sincerely, Barbara Long <brlong54(a)aol.com>
