Hello,
I am looking for this same family. I believe the Thomas that you listed as being one of
William T. Jennings' children is my third great-grandfather. I have found evidence of
a Thomas L. Jennings in the Arkansas census in 1850, but I am not certain this is the
correct one. However, it does indicate that he was born in Alabama. I believe that they
must have traveled from Georgia through Alabama on their way to Clarke County,
Mississippi. There are land records in 1859 which prove that A (not sure which) Thomas L.
Jennings was in Mississippi by this time. The other brothers, Reddick and Ezra, seem to
have been born in Georgia, so perhaps they were older and born prior to the family's
departure for the westward trek. I have estimated Thomas' birth as 1829-1930.
Does this fit in with what you know? And, have you learned anything new about the
mysterious William T., head of family?
