Regarding finding your listing for "White Lett" listed as "White Set."
This
is a very easy mistake that has probably been made by someone that is not
familiar with reading and transcribing Spencerian Script. This is an
excellent example of why it is sometimes necessary, if you run into a blank
wall, to research the copies of the original documents rather than those that
have been transcribed .
If you would like to see the difference between a Capital "L" and a Capital
"S" in Spencerian Script please got to <A

I am fortunate to own a very old book entitiled "The Business Manual" written
by P. (Platt) R. Spencer. He is the father of Spencerian Script.
Penmanship is covered on Pages 23 through 43 with various writing samples.
I must say Spencerian Script is very beautiful. This is what P. R. Spencer
wrote:
"Three things are essential in good penmanship,--legibility, rapidity and
beauty. Their importance is in the order in which they are named."
Unfortunately I find that beauty has overtaken legibility on occasion as I
read old records.
