Subject: [INJENNIN] Daniel Conner
Bonita,
I have a favor to ask. Allen S. Conner was the publisher of The Plain
Dealer
for many years. His brother, Daniel, apparently died in Jennings Co.
22
March 1881. I haven't been able to find him on any census in 1880, but I
know he was there. Can you find anything about his death in the newspaper
copies or any info on who he married? Their sister, Harriet Conner French,
died 17 Nov 1881 and her husband, John French, re-married in 1882 to a
Mrs.
E. Conner. She may have been Daniel's widow but I don't know
what her name
was. The French's lived in Kentland , Newton Co.
Anything else you can find about the Willoughby Conner family who moved to
Jennings Co. in 1820 would be appreciated. His obit is on the Jennings
website, so I have that.
