Page 222: The will of Moses SAWYER dec was here entered. It was dated Sept.
18, 1833. No recording date was given. He mentioned his sons John and
Nathan, his wife, Lucy, "all of Moses and Lucy's children". He app. George
McCASLIN and George FISH as his executors. It was witnessed by Nancy A.
SPANN, Solomon SPANN and Jordan McCASLIN SPANN. Aug. 13, 1835.
Page 224: The will of Robert TOLER dec. was here entered. It was dated Aug.
18, 1835, and no recording date was listed. He mentioned his wife, Rache,
his son, Christopher, and his daughter, Polly. Ebenezer BALDWIN was to be
his executor. The will was witnessed by E. BALDWIN and John BONER.
Page 225: The will of Daniel A. KASHOW dec. was entered here. It was dated
Aug. 4, 1835, and a recording date was not given. He mentioned his wife,
Elizabeth, his sons, Robert B., Israel H., Daniel and HONATHAN H., his 7
daus., Mary H. TOBIAS, Harriet DAY, and Sarah, Eliza, Jane J., Ruth Ann and
Laura Ann KASHOW. He appointed Thomas HILL, Jr., as his executor. The will
was witnessed by Henry BETTS (or BELTZ) and Daniel M. HILL.
Page 228: The will of John BRANDON dec. was here entered. It was dated
April 28, 1835, and a recording date was not given. He mentioned his wife,
Bethsheba, and "my several children". He app. his wife his executrix. The
will was witnessed by John VAWTER and J. B. NEW.
Page 229: The will of Mary ADAMS dec was here entered. It was dated July
16, 1835, and a recording date was not given here. She mentioned her
father's estate in Kentucky, her brother, James BISHOP, her son, James C.
ADAMS and the remaining 7 children. She appointed Thos. HILL, Jr., her
executor. The will was witnessed by J. B. SMITH and Brannock PHILLIPS.
Page 231: The will of Lawson STEPHENSON dec. was here entered. It was not
dated nor was there listed a recording date. He mentioned his sons, William
H., James M., Levi P., his wife, Elizabeth, his mother, his youngest child,
Lucy Ann, "my wife and her five children" (may be referring to their 5
children). He appointed his wife, Hugh GORDON, and Azariah MERRELL his
executors. The will was witnessed by James STOCKTON and John LAWRENCE.
Page 233: The will of John ANDERSON dec. was here entered. It was dated
Sept. 4, 1835, and there was not a recording date. He mentioned his wife,
Fanny, and appointed George WILSON, W. B. GOODHUE and Samuel WEIR his
executors. The will was witnessed by Charles K. LARD and Ellison DIXON.
Page 235: Sarah THOMPSON and Samuel A. KEITH were confirmed as executors of
the will of Samuel P. THOMPSON, dec. granted them June 29, 1835, by the
court in vacation. They filed in court an inventory of Samuel's personal
property which included a set of shoemaker's tools, gold weights, seals,
medicine and a medical library plus the usual household and farm items and
two promissory notes. Nov. 9, 1835.
Page 240: John H. DENSLOW filed in court a small additional inventory of
personal property of the estate of Chapman DENSLOW dec. Nov. 9, 1835.
Page 242: William WAGGONER adm. filed in court an inventory of the personal
property of Jacob WAGGONER dec. which included a bible, 2 hymn books, a
large gun and the usual household and farm items. Final settlement was made
of this estate. Nov. 9, 1835.

BRIDGES dec. Nov. 9, 1835.
Page 257: The adm. of the estate of Job WHITTEN dec. petitioned the court
to sell lot #29 in the town of Scipio, Jennings Co., which belonged to

Rachel and Margaret McKINNEY, minor heirs of William McKINNEY dec., with

Page 258: William N. JOHNSON and Giles JOHNSON, Elizabeth HEATON, James R.
JOHNSON, Polly RICE, and Berry LANKSTON, Clement and Mary Ann JOHNSON all
heirs of Joel JOHNSON, dec., who was an heir of Phillip JOHNSON who died
July 11, 1835 petitioned the court for pension arrears due Phillip from
March 11 to July 11, 1835. (as a Rev. War soldier?) Nov. 11, 1835.
Page 259: George McCONNELL made final settlement as adm. of the estate of
Asa McCONNELL deceased. There were but three heirs and George filed in
court a receipt for two of them for their shares and retained the residue
as his share. Mary McCONNELL and Robert McCONNELL received sums. Nov. 10,
1835.
Page 261: John WALKER was confirmed as adm. of the estate of Moses SAWYER
dec. granted him Sept. 3, 1835 by the court in vacation, the executors in
the will having declined. John filed in court an inventory of the personal
property of Moses which included weaver and spinning gear and the usual
household and farm items. Nov. 11, 1835.

CLEMMONS dec., granted him by the court in vacation. He filed in court an
inventory of John's personal property which included sixteen weaver's
spools, a stand of bees and the usual household and farm items and one
promissory note. May 9, '36.
Page 305: John WALKER resigned as the guardian of William, Isaac Stephens
and Jane JELF, minor heirs of Jane JELF, deceased, and he filed a claim for
going to Kentucky on their behalf. May 10, 1836.
Page 306: Robert and Stephen RUSSELL were cited to appear before the court
at the next term and make settlement of the estate of Robert RUSSELL, dec.,
May 10.
Page 307: John McGANNON was cited to appear at the next court term and make
settlement of the estate of Darby McGANNON dec. May 10, 1836.

James SHEPHERD, dec. May 10.
Page 308: An inventory of the personal property of Samuel TOBY deceased was
here entered which included one lot of cooper's ware, files and compasses,
a fancy clock, 5 stone hammers, a set of blacksmith tools, 1 rifles, 7
grindstones and some household and farm items. An additional list of
Samuel's personal property was filed which included 75 acres of real
estate, three lots in the town of Geneva and some accounts and notes due
the dec. Also filed was a list of pers. prop. retained by the widow as
allowed her by law. May 10.
Page 315: A citation was to be filed against Lucy and Nathaniel to appear
before the next court term and settle the above estate. May 10, 1836.
Page 315: Walter CARSON executor of the will of James MITCHELL dec. filed
in court the receipts of Hugh McGANNON and wife, Polly, and Robert TWEEDY

Aug. 5, 1836 and no recording date was listed. He mentioned his sons
William P. and John W., "my children", daughters Sarah Jane, Anne and
Rachel, his wife, Nancy. He appointed his wife and Dailey W. NEEDHAM his
executors. The will was witnessed by Willoughby CONNER and Alcey S.
RANDALL. Aug. 9, 1836.
Page 326: The will of Thomas SELMAN dec. was entered here. It was dated
Sept. 19, 1836 but a recording date was not given. He mentioned his stock
of medicine, his medical books and the house he had been building in the
town of Paris. He also mentioned his brothers John and Andrew and appointed
Dr. W. B. GOODHUE and Charles K. LARD his executors. The will was witnessed
by Ephraim HARLAN and John COBB. Aug. 9, 1836.
