the book is copyrighted or if Mr. Holmes will give me permission to post
his book online. In the meantime, I will continue to do lookups as much as

Page 26: Mary ROGERS the widow was app. administratrix of the estate of
John ROGERS dec. with Ebenezer BRANDON and James BUCKLEY as her securities.
Mary filed in court an inventory of John's personal property appraised by
Chapman DENSLOW and John HOPKINS. The personal property was the usual
household and farm items and incouded one lot of books, a yoke of steers,
showmaker's tools and a box of gunsmith's tools. Oct. 21, 1822.
Page 81: Monday, Sept. 1823 William PRATHER appeared before the court and
as no sheriff or no other judge appeared, Thomas ARMSTRONG was called upon
to perform the duties of the sheriff and the court adjourned until Thursday.
The will of Ann BUCKLES dec. was here entered. It was dated May 1, 1823 and
recorded Sept. 17, 1823. She mentioned David OSBORN, Jr., who was to get a
legacy left her by her father, William OSBORN's will. Her eldest daughter,
Mary REED and Mary's eldest daughter Ann ROGERS; George W. BUCKLES "at his
father's death"; "my three daughters" and "my daughter-in-law,
Elizabeth
BUCKLES". She appointed Peter WYKOFF her son-in-law, her executor. The will
was witnessed by Ebenezer BRANDON and John HOPKINS. Sept. 17, 1823.
Page 124: Ezra F. PABODY came into court and reported the assets in his
hands as administrator of the estates of John ROGERS, Nahum POWERS, George
POWERS and William SHIELDS, dec., March 30, 1825.
James BUCKLES was app. the guardian of John, Hervy and George Washington
BUCKLES. Marc. 1825.
Thomas HILL, Jr., Joshua C. CHEIVER and John HOPKINS were appointed a
commission to set off the dower of Mary REED, late Mary ROGERS (widow of

Page 157: Abraham PONSLER vs. Sarah Ann, David, Sr., Mary, Christian,
Michael, David, Jr., and Elizabeth BROWN and Elihu HOPKINS in a chancery
suit. The entry concerned real estate purchased by Daniel PONSLER in 1839
with Daniel BROWN. In Nov. 20, 1846 entry the defendants were declared
non-residents of Indiana. Settlement was made of this suit May 1847.
Page 236: John HOPKINS, Sr., the guardian of John F. PEOPLES, minor heir of
Hector PEOPLES dec. asked the court's permission to invest his ward's funds
in land which the court allowed. The gdn. purchased land in Section 17,
Township 23, Range 2 (no acreage given) which was Wabash and Erie Canal
Land. A settlement was made by the gdn. Feb 14, 1848.
