has:
Enoch Parker: 1841-1924
Lizzie: 1840-1928
Mrs. Elizabeth Parker, 87 years old, one of the repected women of the Letts community,
passed away at 7:30 o'clock last night at the home of her son, Enoch (Pat) Parker at
Letts. She had been ill with pneumonia for over a month. Born on Jul 6, 1840 near North
Vernon, Mrs. Parker was the daughter of James and Tamer Pool Duval. After her marriage to
Encoh Parker on Jun 18, 1863, she moved from North Vernon to Letts, where she has resided
for the past 60 years. Of the three children born to the couple, one son, Encoh (Pat)
Parker of Letts, with whom Mrs. Parker has made her home since the death of her husband on
Oct 6, 1924, survives. She also leaves three grandchildren, James Parker, Letts; Dale
Parker, Letts; and Charles Parker, South Bend; and three great grandchildren, Betty Jane,
Eleanor and Robert Paker. For the past 46 years Mrs. Parker was a member of the Methodist
church and was an active worker in the congregation at Letts. She was a fine Christian
woman and was devoted to her family and her community. She had a wide circle of friends
who will regret her demise. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday
afternoon at the Letts Methodist church. The Rev. Ramsey will officiate assisted by the
Rev. F. H. Allbritten. Burial in Mt. Aerie cemetery. The family has requested that friends
omit sending flowers.

Westport: Enoch Parker and wife of Gaynorsville were the guests of Frank Willy and family
at this place Thursday. Married, Sunday evening, at the U.B. parsonage, Gib Gorden to Miss
Ada Rickets.
