I am concerned with a situation involving an old Cemetery in Jennings
County. The
property on which this Cemetery sits is for sale. I am finding
there is no real protection for these old Cemeteries if they are on private
property and they can be bought and sold pretty much willy nilly. This
Cemetery is in Montgomery Township and has at least 75 pioneer graves in it
including a Revolutionary War Soldier, but has not really been cared for in
years. I was wondering if anyone has suggestions about handling something
like this. How can the Cemetery be saved and restored I fear it will end up
being destroyed.
