Dear Sir-I wish to tender my thanks for the prompt settlement of policy No.
16830 (difficult to read) for the sum of $12,279.88 on the life of my late
husband, Overton A. Fitch who died March 11, 1881. I see the Society's
check is dated April 16, only 35 days after his death. I shall take great
pleasure in recommending the Equitable to all who may contemplate taking
life insurance.
