Hi Janis,
I have several suggestions for you regarding these pictures:
1) I'm sure the Jefferson County Historic Society would love to have them
or
copies or scans of them. You can contact Ron Grimes at the Society: 615
W.
First Street, Madison, IN 47250 or phone (812) 265-2335
2) Also, the Madison-Jefferson County Library has a great genealogy
section
and could use the photos. You can contact Janice Barnes, Genealogy
Librarian
at: 420 W. Main Street, Madison, IN 47250 or phone (812) 265-2744
3) Ruth Hoggatt has a dedicated web site to Jefferson County that has
photos
and several are looking for identification of people/places. You can go
to
the web site
www.myindianahome.net and get her address to send the scan
images
to.
Any of these options would make them widely available so the most people
could
see them and have an opportunity to perhaps identify someone in their
family!
Thanks for offering them - most people would just toss them if they didn't
know who was in the picture!

One is Haag's
taxi with driver in uniform, 4 young men in an old car with a racoon tail
on
the hood
ornament taken in front of Jackson's. Lots of pictures of folks taken in
and
around
Jackson's. One is of a young man in his sweater with a big H on it. some
pictures of the
Ohio river frozen. A picture of the Hill Top Dairy truck with a young
man. A
couple of
young men having fun in front of a bank.

pics
are of and
would maybe like to connect these to someone.
