I have been in touch with a fellow who wants to make a documentary about
the fate of little movie theatres in small cities, and I urged him to take
a look at THE OHIO in Madison, not so much because of the theatre as the
setting. Madison is a remarkably attractive little city.
He is interested, and would like to hear from those willing to share their
memories of THE OHIO. It would also help to know where you are located and
if you would be willing to be interviewed for the documentary. Even if
you don't want to be interviewed, share your memories of the Ohio so he can
get the overall picture, and he might be able to elict the same
observations from other interview subjects. I don't think he is interested
in defunct theatres, except as they relate to these remaining, struggling
theatres. I don't know if Madison ever had any other movie theatres
(excepting the drive-in and current multi-plex).
Also any suggestions about people that he should talk to or contact would
be appreciated. If you'll send me responses I'll pass them along to him.
I'm not sure he'd appreciate me giving out his e-mail address without me
asking him. But he definitely is interested in the THE OHIO experience.
Thanks,
Bill Davis
