Hi Everyone!
I'm looking for information about the Meisberger family, who settled in the
Jefferson and Ripley County areas and attended St. Magdalene Church.
In particular, I am looking for any information (especially parents names)
about Peter Meisberger, who married Mary Stulig (or Stolich) on April 24,
1855 in Ripley County. I am also interested in information about Mary
Stulig/Stolich (Note: after her husband died, she married John Adams from
Osgood)
Here's where it gets really complicated: I found a family tree file (FTW)
for the early IN Meisbergers, which focuses on the family of Joseph
Meisberger, his mother, his wife and their children, most of whom were born
in Germany and emigrated to the US around 1848. Joseph's brother (Peter,
Jr.) and sister (Catharina) are also mentioned, but it does not tell if they
also emigrated to the US with their mother and brother's family.
My dilemna is that my Peter and Mary (Stulig) Meisberger do not fit into the
family tree that obtained from the WFT source. And to make matters even
more difficult, there are SEVERAL Peter and Mary Meisbergers in the records.
My theory is that my Peter descended from Joseph Meisberger's brother,
Peter Jr.
To make things clearer, I have pasted below the following: A. What I know
about my Meisberger line and B. The early Meisberger genealogy WFT file
found in FamilyTreeMaker records.

A. My Meisberger Line
1. PETER1 MEISBERGER born bef: 1840 married MARY STULIG (or Stohlich) April
24, 1855 in Ripley County, IN. Peter Meisberger died before 1880.
Children of PETER MEISBERGER and MARY STULIG are:
2. i. NICHOLAS2 MEISBERGER, b. 1872; d. 1937.
ii. PETER MEISBERGER, b. Abt. 1870.
iii. MATT MEISBERGER.
iv. KATIE or Elizabeth? MEISBERGER.
v. FEMALE (Mary?) MEISBERGER. b: 1856
Note: One of the female children married a Boosveld and the other an
Issler.
Note: According to the 1880 census, Nick Meisberger resided with his
stepfather, John Adams. His brother Peter (two years older) is listed with
a grandmother, Mary Meisberger, who is 73 years old. Since she was born in
1807, she could possibly be the wife of Peter Meisberger, Jr. (brother of
Joseph Meisberger), born in 1799. I still haven't found a record, however,
that Peter Meisberger, Jr. came to this country with his brother Joseph.
Generation No. 2
2. NICHOLAS2 MEISBERGER (PETER1) was born 1872, and died 1937. He married
