Cece--
I'd be willing to bet the "German cemetery" is St. Joseph's, which is
just
off highway 421 just before you come into Madison (coming from the north).
St. Joseph's was (is) the Catholic cemetery downtown, where St. Mary's was
the historical German parish. (The parish is now called Prince of Peace.)
Springdale is the principal public cemetery in Madison, but I've never heard
it referred to as the "German" cemetery.

Subject: [INJEFFER] German Cemetery in Madison?
Hi from HOT-lanta,
I sent off for and received several death certificates for my S(i)eferman
family from Madison. Most of these were in the late 1800's.
It showed the majority of them were buried in "German Cemetery".
I have been unable to find a listing for this cemetery. Perhaps the name
has been changed?
If you can shed some light on this, I would appreciate it.
