Hello Listers,
I just received this notice from another list that I belong to. Thought I
would pass it along to all of you in case you haven't heard about it.

<<The National Archives Trust Fund has published their third
edition, newly revised Guide to Genealogical Research. Blurb states
it..."tells how to find all sorts of records stored there, e.g. census,
immigration, military service - even less common information, like War
Relocation Authority." The guide tells how the records are organized, what
information they contain about individuals, and the dates they cover. It
contains references to information available through NARA website, etc. etc.
The 420-page book is available in softcover for $25.00 and hardcover for
$39.00 (+ s. & h.) and can be ordered from Ntl. Archives Trust Fund by
calling 1-800-234-8861. There may be more info about it at
www.nara.gov.
I just thought I'd mention it in case someone asks you what you might want
for Christmas, or if you're wondering what to get for someone you know who
is considering genealogical research. Sometimes, neophyte geneaolgists
(like we all once were) don't know where to begin to start, and this guide
might be of help to them - and to more seasoned researchers as well.>>
