Dennis,
I just got back from a genealogy trip to Jefferson Co. IND. Madison is the
county seat and the place to go for genealogy. I did some deeds at the
Recorder's Office in the Courthouse. It is a comfortable place to work, and
they are very helpful. The Public Library has an exceptionally good
genealogy department. It's on the second floor/mezzanine (there's an
elevator). Be sure to check out the family folders in the file cabinets.
There's a genealogy section at the Historical Society, but I haven't been
there.
