I've been compiling a Jefferson County gazetteer. Here's the description:
Levi. (Saluda Twp.) Levi, located on the
Ohio River in the northeastern part of Saluda Township,
had a post office that operated from 1889 to 1903. The origin of the name is
not known. An 1898? railroad map places it? above the earlier town of New London.
I can send you an image of one of the maps that shows the location, if you like.

Subject: [INJEFFER] Levi, Jefferson Co., IN
I recently rec'd a Civil War Pension Packet that lists the address of the
claimant as "Levi, Jefferson Co., IN."
Anyone know where this was?
I suspect it was around Saluda or Hanover.
