Hello Listers, I am a new subscriber so let me introduce myself. I am, Margaret and I
live in northern Nevada. A few years ago, my youngest son, asked me to tell him more
about his father. My son, was only 8 years old when his father was killed in an accident.
That search has been full of many twists and turns. In a nutshell, it appears that my
son and his siblings have several half-brothers that they had never met until this summer.
I THINK their may be more in Indiana. My information is sketchy and I am may be looking
for a needle in a haystack but I am hoping someone will recognize the names or at least
give me some suggestions on how to pursue the search. Here are the few details as I know
them. My husband was Leonard E. BURKETT. He was born in MO. but spent most of his life
in Boise, Idaho and Alaska. One of the sons we found spells his name with an
"e" on the end of it. I know that Leonard was in Seattle, Washington in the
early '50's. He left there and f!
rom
letters and photo's it appears he went to Madison, Indiana. I met him in 1957, so
those are the years I am looking at in Madison. I know that he worked as a bartender at
the Elk's Club and he was living with a woman named Mary Margaret (don't know if
they were married or not). I have a picture with Leonard, Mary Margaret and 3 little
boy's in a rowboat, on the Ohio river. I believe one of the boys is named Webster or
Winston. Not much to go on I know, but I felt I had to try. We would love to find those
boys. Any suggestions would be most welcome!!!! Thank you for your time. Margaret in
