?I don't know about the Everhart family. However, Andrew and family were listed in
both Hamilton County, Ind., and Milton Twp., in the 1850 census.
I have quite a bit of information about his business, the Jefferson Paper Mill, which he
probably assisted in running before purchasing it in 1853. He lost the property at
sheriff's sale, and it was sold in 1861.
If have details on the business, which went back to 1828 as a paper mill and back to
about 1817 as a grist mill and went through a variety of owners before Everhart got it.

Subject: [INJEFFER] Everhart ~ Ramesey
Listeners,
I am looking for information on the families of Andrew & Margaret W. (Ramsey)
Everhart. I have too guess that Ramsey is her maiden name, because I have been
given information that two men William and Christopher Ramsey lived with them in
the 1850 census, when they lived in Symmes, Hamilton County, Ohio. They had
moved at some time after 1850 to Milton, Jefferson, Indiana, where they had
their five children. William was gone from there home by this time; Christopher
or (Christian) was still living with the couple. The family was Milton,
Jefferson, Indiana. 1860.
There children Franklin, Mary G., Ida May, George, Howard.
I have found that there are several Andrew Everhart's in the Civil War. The
three men how were privities one from Ohio and two from PA Union Army. The man
from Ohio was to young and died during the Civil war. The others I thought I
read might have been officers with what part of the Union Army I do not know. I
was wondering because of the oral history that Andrew might have served during
the Civil War, but there is no paper work that is had by the family that I know
of. So I would like to find out if I can.
I am looking for any and all information on these family members and their
descendants and the linage.
Andrew 1820 ~ 1897
Margaret 1830 ~ 1923
Franklin 1853
Mary G 1855
Ida May 1861 ~1853
George 1867
Howard 1868 ~ 1954
William Ramsey Abt. 1833
Christopher or (Christian) Ramsey Abt 1843
Andrew and Margaret are my Great, Great, Grandparents thought Ida May Everhart
and her husband Henry M F Leighty
