Hi everyone! I wanted to drop everyone a quick note to tell you that I have
been having very serious problems with the web server that hosts the Jay
County Cemetary transcriptions database. The server is up and down and up
and down. If you are trying to access it and can't get in, please try
again.
Please be paitient: understand that the data base is hosted for free on
another web server (not rootsweb) that hosts several of my and my husband's
commercial sites. The constant crashes are also putting me behind in
updating content: like adding new surnames to the surname list etc. Of
course our priority here has been our commercial sites as these are our
livelihood.Rootsweb can not host the database because of the search engine
used, and so hosting it on our commercial server was a good idea, I
thought! ANYWAY-! It now appears that my husband will have to re-build the
server in order to fix the problem. You will not notice any difference: the
cemetary data base will be up and down as we try to fix the problem, just
as it is now. We are addressing it and we will have it settled as soon as
we can.
Thanks for your continued paitience and understanding!
Amy
PS: Our next big project is to put the probate record index on line. I am
still looking for volunteers to help transcribe it from a word file to a
data base format..probably access or even excel. Please let me know if you
are able to help.
