I would also be interested in knowing where West Grove was...According to my
family records, many attended the West Grove school...which is near the
Paxson school. West Grove was not a township and does not show up in the
1865 map as a city or town...It may have been a "vilage" which later changed
names....Anyone at the Genealogy Society in Portland have a read on this?

Subject: [INJAY] [SAWYER] Family of James and Eliza Ann Sawyer, 1870 Census
Hi All;
Is there SKS that could lookup a James and Eliza Ann Sawyer in the
1870 Census of West Grove, Jay County, Indiana.
They should have these two children George at 13 and Thomas A. at 11.
Ther could very possibly be more.
Is there any possibility that there could be a city directory of this
town between 1850 and 1875. Did this town just dry up and blow away as
I can not locate it in Rand McNally.
Thank you for your help
