Since Louis's wife, Sarah J. was buried in Hearn cemetery, it seems likely to me that
Louis and maybe his mother are also buried there. The cemetery index for Hearn does not
list them there, but they may be there with no tombstone, or their tombstones may not be
legible.
Have you tried searching for their obits? Often times the obit would mention where they
were buried.

Subject: [INJAY] Louis Oswalt family information?
I am seeking information on the Oswalt/Oswald family of Jay county. Louis Oswalt settled
in Jay county in 1852, where he bought a farm. He later was a merchant and then a hotel
owner in Portland, dying on 22 May 1883 in Portland according to his Estate papers. He
married his third wife Sarah Jane Curtis in Jay county. What I am seeking is his place of
burial, I have seen no index that lists his burial site. I am assuming he was buried in
the greater Portland are because his family paid Hawkins and Cartwright for the coffin and
burial clothes. His mother Magdalena Oswalt who I also cannot find is also supposedly
buried in Jay county, around January of 1883
