Does anyone ever think to donate these types of resources to the Jay Co.,IN
USGENWEB project. I get so discouraged at times that while so much work seems
to be getting done yet it all is being sold not shared. I am not just
complaining out of laziness or cheapness just out of genuine curiosity from someone
who has spent many many hours donating my time to transcribing records for the
genweb project because I believe in the mission of the usgenweb project.
Thank you,
Pati

Hi all. It has been pointed out to me that I should make sure that
everyone is aware that Phyllis &Jay Franklin put together a great book of
transcriptions for the Salamonie Cemetery. The book includes some other information in
addition to the transcriptions from the stones, such as some marriages,
maiden names of women, etc. on some of the folks buried there. The book
includes all three cemeteries that are now referred to as Salamonie; i.e., includes
East Park, West Park, and Grandview. The book is available from the
Genealogy Society, and all proceeds from it go to the Genealogy Society. This, as
well as other Jay Co. research materials are listed on the Jay Co. Genealogy
Societies web page at
http://www.rootsweb.com/~injay/research/jaygene.htm If
you have ancestors buried at Salamonie, you'll find this book an excellent
source.
