Hi Amy --
I am researching Skinners in Jay County. They are buried in Boundary
Cemetery. Could they also
be your Skinners?

Do you mean Abia and Mary Skinner? I think that Abia is a brother to
Salathiel Skinner, who married Amaretta Skinner in Perry County, Ohio.
Amaretta was the daughter of William Henry and Matilda (Debolt) Skinner.
Matilda is a daughter of George Debolt, who is buried in Boundary Cemetery
with his second wife Sarah Allen.
William Henry and Matilda (Debolt) Skinner had the following children:
Stephen Leroy Skinner, born 1833, died 1913. Married Marietta Willey.
Lucinda Mary Skinner, 1835-1852. Never married.
Amaretta Skinner, born 1837. Married Salathiel Skinner.
Robert M. Skinner, born 1839. Married Rebecca McCaskey.
George Austin Skinner, 1841-1920. Married Susan Orr. (George is my direct
ancestor)
John William Skinner, 1844. Died in infancy.
William A. Skinner, b. 1845.
John Rezin Skinner, b 1846
Marian Washington Skinner, 1849.
William Henry Skinner died 30 May 1850 in Perry Co, Ohio. After his death,
it seems that the family scattered. Matilda married William Crossen, Joseph
Brown, and J. W. McFillen. I do not know what happened to her after her
marriage to McFillen in 1886 in Williams County, Ohio.
I'd be happy to exchange information!
