The Boundary Cemetery is a pretty small cemetery, and a very old one. I doubt there are
any records for the cemetery other than transcribed tombstone records.
As to the best place to spend your time researching; I highly recommend the Genealogy
Society. They have tons more than the local library. The have a lot of the newspapers on
microfilm. If they don't have the newspaper you need, the recorders office at the
courthouse has almost all of the newspapers dating way back. The courthouse is only a
half a block away from the Genealogy Society.

Subject: [INJAY] Research in Jay Co
Hi everyone,
I might have the opportunity to briefly visit Jay Co on Wednesday, July 9.
I'd like to go to Boundary Cemetery to see the graves of my ancestor George
Debolt and his wife Sarah Allen.
Could anyone tell me:
1. Is there an office at the cemetery and, if so, what the hours are? I'm
hoping to find cemetery records on the chance that George's daughter
Matilda may also be buried there (she's not listed in the published
readings of Boundary Cemetery).
2. What places would be the best to hit for research since I only have a
few hours (need to leave for Indianapolis by mid-afternoon). The
Genealogical Society? Public library? Other? I'd be especially interested
in newspapers of the late 1800s.
Names I'm researching in Jay Co include Debolt, Skinner, Crossen, Brown,
and McFillen.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Amy
