This one turned up in the pre-1850 Indiana marriage index. However, I don't
know if it is the right one:

Subject: [INJAY] marriage records
Does anyone have access to early Jay county marriage indexes? I am
looking
for Jesse Beal/Beel. He married Mary Ann around 1836-38. He was from Ohio,
but Mary Ann was from Indiana. They were living in Jay county in 1840, but
sometime in the following 10 years moved to Wabash County, where they lived
the rest of their lives. If by any chance they got married before Jay county
was formed, where should I look for the records?
I appreciate your help.
Luis Beal
