Here's the last one. The Portland Commercial, Sept. 9, 1886.
Commissioner - South District -- Norman Lynch was born in Senica county, Ohio, March 28,
1843, and was married to Helen A. Vaughn, September 1867. He moved to Pike township, in
1870, and is one of her most enterprising and industrious farmers. He takes great
interest in educational matters, and is now serving his eighth year as one of the Trustees
of Ridgeville College. In addition to managing his own farm, he has charge of the college
farm, of 220 acres, near Salem, which he has very much improved in the past three years.
Under his skillful management, it yields the college a good revenue - something over $500
last year, and will do still better this. He is a man of sterling integrity and good
business habits, and will make a commissioner the people can point to with pride.
