Hello, Linda --
I have the following sliver of information regarding your
query. Unfortunately, I have no data on your ancestors, John R. and Hannah
BEEKMAN.
"G. W. (George Washington) CURRENT (1818-1880) was my 3rd great-granduncle,
being a younger brother of my 3rd great-grandfather. CURRENTs have been in
Indiana since 1833, emmigrating from Virginia. G. W.'s wife (m 1838 in
Dearborn County, IN) was Elizabeth LEWELLYN (1818-1902); they had eight
children, three of whom lived to maturity.
My database includes many nameless CURRENTs; it could be that one of the
BEEKMANs was married into or a child of one of these CURRENTs. Or
connected to the LEWELLYNs.
Did you happen to notice if there were any other CURRENTs and LEWELLYNs in
the cemetery, and record additional data?

Subject: G.W. Current
Buried along with my ancestor John R. Beekman and wife Hannah at Old
Redkey Cemetery in Redkey, Jay County, IN is three children by the last
name of Current, and it indicates that they are the children of G.W. and
E. Current. At this time, I can't seem to connect the E. Current with any
of John Beekman's daughters. Does anyone know of G.W. Current and can
share info with me? I also found a G.W. Current in the list of Jay County
Civil War soldiers, drafted 1862.
