Jay County from that early date to the early 1920's. Also that Records
will give you a copy of a marriage record for 1.50 and send you the bill
to make it faster...Nice folks there in Portland In.

If someone else is looking for marriages in this county between 1854
and
1883, there is a film at FHC for those marriages in Jay Co.
Film # 849,944, item 6 & 7
There is a name index at the beginning. Some records show only names of
bride, groom, date of marriage and who married them. Others (later time
periods) include names of parents of bride and groom, place of birth and
witness or witnesses. Not everyone one has all of that information filled
in, but some do and may include whether the first or second marriage.
