I would like to take this opportunity to invite all of my friends and
cousins to check out my recently updated web sites. The GEDCOMS would be
of special interest to the Jay County, IN folks, there are over 22,165
people there tied to Samuel Denny of Surry County, NC. Many thousands of the
people listed in the GEDCOM's would be from the Jay County, IN vicinity
since
Samuel's kin lived and raised families there and many still
reside in that area. His grandson William Felton Denney (my 3rd great
grandfather)
was one of the early pioneers of Jay County, arriving there around 1831. He
is buried
at the Pisgah Cemetery, Fort Recovery, Ohio
The main theme of my sites is Denny-Denney genealogy of course, with a
little bit of effort thrown in to entertain viewers.
I had much of my data stored and linked to a XOOM web site, I have observed
that this site was not operating very effectively and presume that many
viewers did also. Thus, I have moved my Slide Shows and GEDCOMS to Rootsweb.
The Rootsweb location is very effective in loading. Even though the material
is stored at Rootsweb, you still access it though my main web pages.
Some of the updated/new material you may expect is over 2000 more folks
added to my GEDCOMS of Samuel Denny's children, three new GEDCOMS added, the
Joel Denny letter is now posted on my pages, and my Slide Show page has
moved for better efficiency and updated with more content.
Make sure the youngsters get a peek at my Halloween page at
http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Lake/7853/special/ , for GEDCOMS go to
http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Lake/7853/denney and select GEDCOMS or
FAMILIES links (This page also links you to Joel Denny's letter), and for
the SLIDE SHOWS go to
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~rdenney/slides/ .
Hope you all enjoy the revised pages, let me know of problems and broken
links
