I'm sorry. I probably should mention that in each update for those that haven't
seen the previous ones. GenFest will be in Muncie, IN in 2005. Next year. We have
people coming in from all over the country for this event. Hope to see you here!

Hi again, Listers,
GenFest plans are proceeding nicely and wanted to give you an update on what's going
on. So many great ideas!
The final dates have been set for June 10 and 11 of 2005. That's a Friday and
Saturday.
On Friday night we'll be having a mixer, 7-9, for those who are here and want to get
an edge on meeting each other and planning their Saturday. The place hasn't been
decided yet and we'll keep you posted on that. Saturday will be chock full of special
places with special hours and a way to get there if you don't want to drive.
We have finally decided that a carry-in presents too many problems for people attending
as well as for safety reasons. There are some great vendors here in town that we'll
contact about having set-ups at the library for food and refreshments. MPL is also
planning on having some form of refreshments available - coffee, pop, etc. We are also
talking with a large church across the parking lot about the possibility of providing a
meal(s) for purchase. Looks like you won't go hungry!
Mary Lou Gentis and I are meeting with the Visitor's Center next week and that
promises to be productive. We have many things to discuss in regards to discount coupons,
trolley, maps, mixer location, etc.
I will be contacting a number of people in the next couple of weeks: the larger
cemeteries, mortuaries, DAR and other similar groups.
The best news is that MPL is getting ready to put up our website! As soon as I get the
link I'll post it so you can keep up with our progress daily. On that site will be a
sort of "registration" so you can indicate your intentions of attending GenFest.
This isn't a contract signed in blood - just a way for us to do some planning. Keep
watching.
