Hi Celine,
I don't know if you have checked a map or not, however, you will probably
find your family throughout that tri county area....
There was oil discovered in Jay Co. about 1900. They weren't big reserves
and played out very soon. There is even a town called Petroleum in the
southern part of Wells county. Much of the Mason family information must be
in southern Adams county. It is an easy place to research..... It appears
your John is the only one of the children to wander into Jay County. His
second wife with the name of Glendenning is very prominent in that part of
the county as well as southern Wells county.
Also the surname Trigg is prominent in northeastern Jay County., Penn
Township.
I will be going to Portland sometime this week to look up obits for a
project I am working on. If I had the dates of the deaths of John and his
wives, I could look for them too.
Phyllis

Thank you so much, Phyllis Franklin, for sending e-mailing to me my
gg
grandfather's (John Mason) information from this book. It really advances
my research more than I had hoped!
Sincerely,
